Cary Judd

These photos are of my musician friend Cary Judd. Cary and I have been doing photos together since I first picked up a camera, he was a brave soul to use me when I first came on the scene, ha ha. I look back at our first photo adventures and chuckle, I knew so little! I was excited for this shoot, because we had a whole afternoon to knock out stuff, and we did it at a cool location that really complimented Cary. Good times!

Ashley and Max’s Wedding

Ashley and Max tied the knot at the Sacramento LDS temple two days before Christmas, and it was a beautiful wedding. It was nice to go out to Sacramento and get a little break from the snow and storms that had been hitting Utah during December! They had a beautiful winter reception, complete with a cute hot chocolate bar and handmade cozies on the cups, everything was picture perfect. Congrats, you two! :)

Nicole in the Woods

I’ve been waiting to post this for a little while, now! This is a shoot I did with the lovely Nicole (who you may remember in the Great Salt Lake a few posts back), before Utah was covered in snow. One last t-shirt shoot before winter, ha ha. I wanted something a little darker for Nicole on this project, just to see how it would turn out. The fabulous Vivian Williams provided the makeup, and did a genius job, as always!

Natty and Tacia

This shoot was for Natty and Tacia Coleman’s Christmas cards this year, ha. I photographed their engagements, bridals, and wedding when they got married last year, and this is seriously one of the cutest and coolest couples ever. Natty is also my graphic designer, and I photograph his band The Trademark as well, so needless to say, we like to collaborate on stuff!
For these shots, they wanted a vintage Betty Crocker/50’s homemaker vibe: Doting wife, loving husband, and… casserole. :)

Stephanie

This shoot is of my sister Stephanie. I gave her a photoshoot for her birthday this last year, but she didn’t decide to use it until about five months later, ha ha. The lovely Vivian did her hair and makeup, as well as Steph’s fabulous lashes! I think Steph looks fantastic, I’m a proud sister. :)

AFI Live

AFI is on tour right now for their latest album, Crash Love. Go pick it up! It was great to see/shoot them again, I hadn’t seen any of them since the Decemberunderground tour and the Hunter Revenge holiday gig two Christmases ago, where does time go?? Anyway, catch a show if you get a chance, they’re always a good time, and the new album is rad. Thanks for the photo pass, Hunter/Ian!

Adrian’s Quinceañera

So a few months back, a lovely lady named Jeannie contacted me about her daughter Adrian’s quince that was coming up in Florida during October. We made arrangements to fly me down to shoot Adrian’s big day as a surprise/present to her, and I was totally excited! It was fun to be secretive about my schedule so she wouldn’t find out, hee hee. We met up the night I flew in and shot her portrait session, and then had the ceremony and party the next day. ...

Ashley and Max’s Bridals

Ashley and Max are an adorable couple that are getting married in Sacramento just before Christmas this year, so we got a pretty bridal session done before we lost the greenery here in Utah, he he. We had a storm hit this last week that gave us our first snowfall of the season, and things look very different here now! :)

Vivian Williams

These photos are of my fabulous friend and makeup artist, Vivian Williams. She’s worked on a lot of shoots with me, and you’ve probably seen her name mentioned on this blog before. She needed new headshots of herself recently, so we got together for those, and then had a little bit of night/vamp photo fun afterward. I LOVE the bombshell shots at the end, she can work that angle like nobody else! She’s as sweet as she is pretty, and it’s been a blast working with ...
