Silvia and Garrett’s Formals

Silvia and Garrett are tying the knot this week, and they got together for a formal session in their wedding clothes before the big day. We met up at a local Garden setting, but unfortunately, a Chevron oil pipe burst upstream that week, and sent something like 30,000 gallons downstream, and through this park. Sad! So there were big collector-floating things in the pond and all along the stream, limiting our shooting spots by the water, and the whole place reeked of oil/petroleum. It was a bummer to see what the spill had done to the place, but I think the images turned out alright regardless.

Quick Trip to Silver Lake

I took a quick trip up to Silver Lake a few weeks ago to scout out a shoot, and snapped a couple of photos at sunset. The mosquitos were a little overwhelming, but it’s really a beautiful mountain spot. Figured I’d post a few shots from the trip:

Erika’s Bridals

Erika and I met up for her bridal session in Midway. For those of you outside the state, Midway is a little swiss town just south of Park City. The architecture around town is totally charming and set in rolling green hills/countryside, it’s a great little spot for a vacation/weekend getaway. We shot at a bed and breakfast called Johnson Mill, which was adorable.

Kristi and I have been meaning to get together for a photoshoot for MONTHS! Her boyfriend was shipping out to Iraq in the military and she wanted a shoot with him before he left, but no matter how we tried, something always kept us from making it happen. Strep throat, an accident, all sorts of stuff. Then one day, the army decided to give him 24 hours notice, and he was on a plane to the middle east. So Kristi decided to do the shoot of just her and her kids after he left. The kids lasted for a couple of shots, but were quickly over it, so then it was just Kristi and I, ha.

Ryan and Courtney are expecting a new baby, but before his big arrival, they wanted to do a fun maternity shoot with the whole family. Their kids were some of the best behaved and most photogenic children I’ve ever met, they were so awesome. What a stunning family!

Silvia and Garrett wanted to do something a little different for their engagement photos, so we put a vintage spin on them. I love the Union Pacific stuff and the cool vibe these give, and it doesn’t hurt that these two make a very photogenic couple. :)

Traci and I have done photos together in the past, and now her and her hubby are living in Monterey, California. She was back in SLC for a little while and wanted to knock out a photoshoot while she was here. Her husband is in the Navy, so she decided to do a shoot of herself to make a calendar that he could take with him when he ships out, I love that idea!

Danielle’s Bridals

Danielle and Clint tied the knot this last week at the Millcreek Inn, a seriously stunning couple. Now that the groom has seen the bride and the wedding has happened, I can post her bridal session, hee hee. Danielle’s dress is one of the prettiest I’ve seen, and it fit like it was made just for her. Makeup by the lovely Vivian Williams!

Sarah’s Bridals

Sarah and John tied the knot this Monday! I photographed her bridal session before the wedding, but because John wasn’t allowed to see her dress before the big day, I waited to post these so that there wouldn’t be any chance of me interfering with tradition, ha ha. Sarah wanted a vintage looking session and location to go with her dress style, and I think it all came together nicely. Hair and makeup by the lovely Vivian Williams, of course!
