My friend David Boyd opened up a new barber shop/salon called Absinthe Hair & Grooming Parlour in Sugarhouse, and it’s amazing. You can pay them a visit at their website HERE, or see them in person at 1549 South and 1100 East in Salt Lake City. As the name implies, the entire salon has this incredible old world/victorian vibe, with a ton of attention to detail. I got together with Dave and his stylists to create a shoot that they could use for promotion. I’ve been wanting to do a victorian shoot with women’s costumes for a few years now, so this was a blast to work on. Wardrobe from Archive Costumes at the Hale Center Theater in Orem, separates provided by Black Chandelier/Rachael Domingo, Hair by Absinthe Hair & Grooming Parlour, makeup by the lovely Vivian Williams and Siena Wanlass, and styled by Missy Scarbrough.
